best Salmon, Trout, Steelhead and Sturgeon fishing anywhere to be found on the West Coast of British Columbia. We offer fully guided day trips as well as full inclusive packages with fishing lodges on the Fraser River. We cater for all styles including fly fishing, spinning, plug and bait fishing for sturgeon.

Salmon fishing in SW British Columbia is world class. We fish for all 5 species of Pacific Salmon the most productive rivers in the Province. The Fraser River and it's tributaries offer some of the best fishing British Columbia has to offer. Millions of Salmon begin their annual migration in early May and continue through until late November. The best fishing times are between the middle of June and late November.

The Fraser River and its many tributaries offer incredible salmon fishing opportunities including fishing for King Salmon Chinook, Sockeye, Pink Salmon, Coho and Chum Salmon.

There are up to 20 million Sockeye salmon each year and well over 25 million Pink Salmon every second year (odd years i.e. 2007). The fall run of Chinook produces many fish of 40lbs and over.

We fish for salmon using a variety of methods and whether you prefer to fly fish, cast spinners or troll, we have a team of expert professional fishing guides who will ensure that you have the best possible chance of catching salmon.

Another very happy client on The Fraser River

STS Guiding Service is committed to providing current and future clients with the highest level of service and quality angling experiences and we pride ourselves on our personal and friendly service. Our ability to catch fish on 95% of our guided charters can be attributed to our fishing the area 12 months of the year, which over many years has given us a wealth of experience fishing the Fraser River and its tributaries.

Trout Fishing  Sea run trout fishing is probably some of the most challenging and exciting fishing there is in British Columbia. Sea run rainbows or Steelheads can grow to as large as 30 lbs but most rivers in British Columbia would consider anything over 15 lbs a trophy. Bull Trout or Dolly Varden also go to sea and can grow very large but again anything over 15lb would be considered a trophy fish.

A beautiful hard fighting trout

One of British Columbia's best kept trout fishing secrets is right on our back door. This river is one of the few remaining rivers in the S W corner of British Columbia that is still considered to be a true wilderness experience with large wild salmon and trout runs and wonderful sea run trout fishing.

The best time to experience the great sea run trout fishing is in the winter and spring. Sea run rainbows or Steelheads begin migrating in late December and will continue migrating until late May. The best time to fish for Steelhead is once the majority of fish are in the river and water temperatures begin to rise.

By late March the sea run Bull Trout begin migrating into the river. These fish are very aggressive and most times willing to take a fly or lure. The average size is larger than the resident Bull Trout ranging from 4 lb to 15 lbs while resident Bulls are smaller averaging 2- 5 lbs. Hooking 20 or more fish per day is not unusual. With hard fighting bulls and steelheads you can have an incredible fishing trip of a lifetime.

Steelhead Fishing in the Fraser Valley offer's the trout fisherman some great opportunities with The Vedder and Chehalis River's both having excellent returns each winter.

The Chehalis River Steelheads begin returning to the river in late November, while the Vedder River Steelhead are more towards mid December. The Vedder River is our Trophy steelhead river in the Fraser Valley with between 6,000 to 10,000 fish expected to return on an average year.

Many Steelhead are caught each year in the 15 to 20 LB range, with an estimated average weight being 10 to 12 lb.
We fish for wild and hatchery Steelhead fishing in British Columbia's Fraser Valley.

We offer several steelhead fishing trip adventures, including whitewater rafting, hiking and wading trips and Jet boat trips on one of the more scenic rivers in the area.

STS Guiding has full access to one of the more remote rivers in the area. We offer winter trout and char fishing, spring steelhead and spring trout and char fishing. This remote adventure is only a short distance from Vancouver offering our clients a unique angling experience while fishing one of British Columbia's best kept secrets. We offer fully guided day trips out of Vancouver or multi-day packages with stays up to a week or more. This trip is a fly fishers dream, crystal clear waters, glacier peaks and great fishing.

Sturgeon Fishing in British Columbia is second to none, the Fraser River has one of the worlds largest population of Sturgeon today. We fish for Sturgeon in British Columbia year round and is one of our most consistent fisheries, seldom do we not catch fish. Spring brings our annual migration of the Eulichans (small bait fish) to the Fraser river to spawn and food in winter is scarce so when the Eulichans arrive the Sturgeon are eager to feed, it's not uncommon to hook 15 to 20 fish in a 6 hour sturgeon fishing trip.

Sturgeon are known for Tail walking leaps and can quickly spool off 200 yds of line. An average fish of between 4 to 6 feet will test the skill and strength of any angler.

During peak periods is when our average size will increase though you can catch 8 to 10 footers at anytime of year.

We offer one day to one week Guided trips and also provide a good selection of accommodation packages. We offer 1/2 and full day fishing trips and multi day fishing breaks for Sturgeon on the Fraser River, Harrison River and tributaries.

We fish the Fraser River 12 months of the year for sturgeon. We provide all fishing tackle, rods, reels, waders, rain pants, fully insured, covered and heated Jet Boats. This is without a doubt some of the best fishing you will experience in North America. Peak fishing in the Fall is between mid September to late November. This is also when some of the best salmon fishing occurs, we often fish both salmon and sturgeon on the same day.
