Guided Pike Fishing Trips & Pike Fishing Breaks in Scotland. |
Our guided pike fishing trips take place on some of the most prolific pike fishing lochs in the north and south of Scotland including Loch Awe & Loch Lomond, where we catch double figure pike on a regular basis. The Scottish Pike record was caught on Loch Lomond and weighed in at a staggering 47lbs 11ozs. We also have access to a number of excellent pike fishing venues throughout Scotland.
Castle Loch at Lochmaben is a really outstanding course fishing venue, last season producing dozens of double figure pike including one weighing in at 31 lbs. It is just off the M6 about 45 minutes drive north of Carlisle, 1½ hours drive from Glasgow and just under 2 hours drive south of Edinburgh. |

Our professional fishing guides have a wealth of pike fishing experience, which has been built up over many years of big pike fishing in Scotland and they know all of the best fishing hot spots which are likely to produce exhilarating action at any time of the year. Our pike fishing trips can be bank fishing or on fully equipped fishing boats which give us access to all of the best pike fishing areas on each of the lochs, most of which can't be reached by bank fishing alone. We typically source locally supplied dead baits and also use a wide selection of very effective pike fishing plugs. Fly fishing for pike is one of our specialities. Fighting a large pike on a fly rod is something any pike fisherman needs to experience at least once, but be warned this may change the way for fish for big pike in the future. |

Loch Lomond and Loch Awe are huge freshwater lochs, Loch lomond being by far the largest loch in Scotland by surface area. Trying to locate the monster pike in a loch of this size is nearly impossible without years of experience and an in depth knowledge of the loch itself. Let us take the guesswork out of your fishing trip. We can't force the pike take a bait but we can guarantee to have you in the right spot with the right tackle and give you the best opportunity of landing one of these huge pike. |

Loch Alvie is another of the numerous highland lochs that is home to pristine double figure pike. Situated just south of Aviemore, this 160-acre natural glacier loch lies between the Monadhliath and the Cairngorm mountain ranges of the Highlands. The Red River runs off the Monadhliath Mountains and into the loch before eventually joining the River Spey. Loch Alvie has a high ph value compared with other lochs in the area and an abundance of sub surface weed and water crustation type wildlife. |

Above are a couple of speciman pike caught on Castle Loch which is why our clients come back several times a year. These monsters were carefully returned and still lurk in the weed beds waiting to be caught again. Perhaps even a few more pounds bigger than they were a couple of years ago.
Scotland is world famous for its Atlantic salmon fishing and whisky distilleries but one of Scotland's best kept secrets is that it is one of the best countries in Europe to fish for pristine monster pike.
