Geddes Trout Fishery

Nestling between the highland estates of Geddes and Cawdor, the fishery is located at the Geddes Dams. These were built 1870 as the main water supply for the town of Nairn. It lies in quiet secluded woodland surroundings and comprises of two separate lochs. One for bait and one for fly.

The insect life at the fishery is abundant and creates a challenge for the "Match the Hatch" type of fly fisher!

Come and leave the chaos of the modern world behind and join us in the peaceful natural setting of Geddes Fishery!

The fishery is stocked frequently to ensure a good continuity of fish.

The bait loch is catch and keep only. Fly is a choice of catch and release or keep. You can fish for blues, brownies, and the hard fighting Rainbow.

Geddes Trout Fishery

Fishing is from the bank or from platforms.
Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

We have a heated cabin with tea and coffee making facilities and there are light snacks and drinks available for purchase. There is also a toilet and parking facilities for up to 18 cars. A BBQ is also
available for those of you who wish to bring your own fuel to cook your catch!

We are open daily from 9am until dusk or 9pm 1st March to 31st January. We are closed in February.
