The Portsonachan Hotel is situated on the banks of Loch Awe which is famous for its record breaking wild brown trout and monster pike. Guests at the hotel or the lodges can fish for free from the resort land.

The hotel is an excellent location from which to explore the beautiful surrounding countryside and its many attractions including Inverary Jail and Inverary Castle which are just 25 minutes drive from the hotel.

We have 19 ensuite bedrooms, 10 lochside suites and a variety of self catering lodges within the grounds. We are an hour and a half drive from Glasgow, 2 and a half hour drive from Edinburgh and 1 hours drive from Oban, 'Gateway to the Isles'.
