1 day tuition, 2 or 3 day fly fishing courses on the Rivers Tay, Teith, Earn or the River Annan or Loch fishing on several lochs in the Trossachs, Perthshire.

We provide comprehensive trout fishing lessons and courses which include river fishing for wild brown trout from the bank and loch fishing for both wild brown trout and rainbow trout from a boat. All of the fishing tackle required is provided.Casting with a single handed, trout rod is quite easy to learn providing you are shown how to do this correctly. We cater for the complete beginner or anglers wishing to brush up on their existing skills. We should have you casting quite proficiently with the first couple of hours.

This is just the beginning, our trout, fly fishing courses will teach you which trout rod is best suited for loch fishing or river fishing. How to choose a trout fishing rod and compatible reel for the first time. Which fly lines to choose to suit the the weight of your rod and which lines you would use in different situations and weather conditions. We will also teach you how to set your rod up, how to tie up a cast of flies and which flies to use at different times of the year for loch fishing or river fishing.

Our one day trout, fly fishing course is designed to give you a basic introduction on fly fishing and how to cast with a fly rod correctly, for the more experienced fisherman, diagnose casting faults and correct bad casting habits. Our 2 day or 3 day trout, fly fishing courses will cover everything in more depth and will give you plenty of time to perfect your casting. Your fly fishing lessons will be at your own pace and you will find our instructors have immeasurable patience and a great sense of humour.

Trout, Fly Fishing Lessons on the Rivers Teith, Earn or the Annan.

Our trout fishing lessons take place on the River Teith near Callander, the River Earn in Perthshire and on the River Annan in the south west of Scotland. All of these rivers are relatively small rivers and are excellent venues for your introduction to fly fishing. We also use a variety of local brown trout and rainbow trout lochs in each area to give you tuition and the experience of boat fishing. We also have our own private lochan which is well stocked with rainbow trout. For beginners joining us for a 3 day trout fishing course we would spend the first day on the lochan teaching you how to cast, hook, play and net a fish. This will give you a great introduction to trout fishing before we take you bank fishing on the river or boat fishing on a loch.

The River Teith and the Earn are within an hours drive of Edinburgh. The River Annan is approx 90 minutes drive south of Edinburgh. Airports or railway station transfers can be arranged from either Edinburgh or Glasgow airports or rail stations or from your hotel if you are on holiday in Scotland.

For groups of 3 or 4 people we might be able to arrange for one of our professional trout fishing instructors to visit your local fishery and provide you with casting lessons near to where you live.

3 day Residential, Trout Fly Fishing Course on The River Teith or Earn or 3 days fishing on 3 different trout fisheries in the Trossachs National Park in Perthshire.

We will teach you how to cast with a single handed trout rod. How to choose a trout fishing rod and compatible reel for the first time. Which fly lines to choose to suit the the weight of your rod and which lines you would use in different situations and weather conditions. We will also teach you how to set your rod up, how to tie up a cast of flies and which flies to use at different times of the year for loch fishing or river fishing. We will also show you how to play and successfully land your fish.

This trout fishing course will teach you how to cast a fly for wild brown trout on the river bank and boat fishing for rainbow trout on one of the numerous local lochs. Our 3 day course will include a professional trout fishing guide and instructor, all of the fishing tackle you will require and 2 nights bed and breakfast accommodation in a local hotel or guest house, close to where you will be fishing. We will arrange to pick you up from your accommodation each day and take you to the river or loch.

Our fly casting courses are available throughout the year as we can still teach you on one of the many rainbow trout lochs when the brown trout season is closed. We can cater for single anglers, groups of any size and corporate fishing events. 1, 2 or 3 day courses are available.

We can also provide you with a 1, 3 or 6 day trout fishing holiday, either river fishing for wild brown trout or loch fishing for rainbow trout or even a combination of both. We can take you to a different fishing venue each day and provide you with bank and boat fishing. All of the tackle is provided and we can arrange airport transfers and B&B accommodation close to where you will be fishing. We would collect you from your hotel or guest house each morning and take you to where you will be fishing.

3 day Residential, Trout Fly Fishing Course on The River Annan.

Learn how to fly fish for wild brown trout on the river and rainbow trout on a stillwater loch. We will teach what rod you need to use, which lines go with which rods, when to use a floating, intermediate or a sinking line, how to tie up a cast of flies and which fly to use at what time of year. We will teach you all about water craft, where the fish are likely to be lying and how to present a fly, how to hook, play and successfully land your fish and equally important how to fish safely and avoid any accidents.

Our fly fishing courses include a professional fly casting and trout fishing instructor, 2 nights B&B accommodation, all of the fishing tackle required, picnic lunches at the river and transfers from your accommodation to the river or loch each day. There are a variety of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance of your accommodation should you wish to eat out or have a drink in the evening.
