The Orton Estate is situated in the Spey Valley in the heart of Moray, Scotland.

The Estate has a choice of three self-catering cottages all of which are set in a secluded position well
away from urban development and offer the peace and tranquility that you would would expect of the Scottish countryside. They are suitable for families or groups looking to enjoy a memorable vacation
in this beautiful and historical region of Scotland.

A complete range of activities are available in the Moray area including fishing, shooting, golf, walking
and skiing. Inverness and Loch Ness are within easy reach where you can visit Loch Ness 2000, a
visitor centre with an outstanding interpretation of the ecology of Loch Ness and the history of monster
hunting. Hire a boat and go monster hunting for yourself or view Urquart Castle from the loch.

Morayshire is steeped in Scottish history with numerous castles and historical sites of interest to visit.
The Ancient market town of Elgin is only 8 miles away with its beautiful Cathedral, established in 1224
by Alexander II.  -  Ruthven Barracks near Kingussie, was captured and blown up by the Jacobites on
their march to Culloden and Brodie Castle near Forres, reputed to be haunted, dates back to 1567.

A vacation to Scotland wouldn't be complete if you didn't manage to visit at least one of the most famous
Scotch whisky distilleries. The Orton Estate is located in the very heart of whisky country and there are
over 50 distilleries hidden around the many scenic parts of Moray and Banffshire.

A selection of serviced self-catering country lodges are also available on the estate which can
sleep up to 11 guests. For larger parties it is possible to rent a combination of properties.


East St Mary's has been recently renovated and is centrally heated throughout.
It can accommodate up to 8 people in 4 twin en-suite bedrooms.

It is situated in a secluded location on the edge of the estate, about half a mile from the River Spey.




Lower Bruntlands is a charming cottage that sleeps up to 4 people in 1 double bedroom downstairs
and 1 twin bedroom upstairs. In the centre of the Estate, and at the end of it's own access track,
peace and solitude is guaranteed. A wood-burning stove heats the radiators in winter.

Bruntlands Farmhouse Bruntlands Farmhouse can sleep up to 7 guests in 3 twin or double and 1 single
bedroom. As it's name suggests, it used to be the old farmhouse, and retains much of it's character.

The south facing conservatory makes a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the views over the estate.
